Hey! — Mike Dugan here, and welcome to Daily Life Wellness.

I started this blog in May, 2010, to write about my adventures with health and fitness. I’m interested in the stuff that works — even if it means getting down and dirty with unconventional and controversial topics in the health/fitness arena.

For example, we roll with the paleo diet here. We also experiment with intermittent fasting. And we’ve even been known to go barefoot in the gym and while doing sprints.

We also tackle efficiency and effectiveness in the gym. You won’t find me jogging endlessly on a treadmill…because it’s stupid, ineffective, and potentially dangerous. You will find me doing Tabata sessions on the stationary bike, lifting heavy things, and doing sprints and pushups outside.

My qualifications? Zero…except for a bachelor’s degree in fine art, if that’s important to you. If you’re looking for plaques and fancy designations…you’re at the wrong place.

But if you’re interested in discussing practical health and fitness tips and ideas — even if they don’t fly with the unwashed masses — then read on.
