Awesome Caveman Chili Recipe

Chili is a great meal anytime of the year. It’s easy to make (at least the way I do it) and counts as one of my favorite go-to meals.

Here’s a recipe that’s been in the family for years. It satisfies the requirements for Paleo/Primal nutrition as far as I’m concerned. Double the recipe and freeze some for later if you want.  Serves 4 to 5 as noted below.

Ingredients:

1 lb. ground beef

2 med. onions chopped

1 cup chopped green pepper

1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce

1 large can (28 oz.) chopped tomatoes

2 tsps. chili powder

1 tsp. salt

1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper

1/8 tsp. paprika

Stir ground beef, onion and green pepper in large pot until meat is brown and veggies are tender. Drain off excess fat. Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.

Simple, right?
